CH₂F₂R-32 (difluoromethane, HFC-32) is a single component hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) that delivers strong cooling performance with significantly lower environmental impact, making it the leading replacement of high GWP blends like R 410A in new HVAC system designs. With a GWP of 675—approximately one-third that of R-410A—R-32 offers significant environmental benefits while maintaining excellent thermodynamic properties and energy efficiency. It is most commonly used in mini split heat pumps, ductless systems, and VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) installations, where its efficiency and lower GWP make it an ideal fit.
