R-452A
R32/R125/R12…R-452A (Opteon XP44) is an HFO/HFC refrigerant blend designed to replace R-404A and R-507A in transport refrigeration and commercial refrigeration applications. With a GWP of 2,140—approximately 45% lower than R-404A—R-452A provides environmental improvement while offering excellent low-temperature performance. The blend contains HFO-1234yf along with R-32 and R-125, maintaining A1 safety classification. R-452A is particularly well-suited for transport refrigeration (trailer units, truck bodies, containers) where reliable low-temperature operation is essential. The refrigerant also performs well in ice machines, commercial freezers, and cold storage applications.
