    R-422A

    R125/R134a/I…

R-422A is an HFC refrigerant blend developed as a retrofit replacement for R-22 in medium and low-temperature refrigeration applications. The blend composition is optimized to match R-22 capacity and efficiency in refrigeration systems with minimal modifications. R-422A operates at similar pressures to R-22 and is compatible with conventional mineral oil in many applications. With a GWP of approximately 3,100, R-422A is subject to significant regulatory pressure under current phase-down requirements. The refrigerant has been used in commercial refrigeration, supermarket systems, and industrial cooling where direct R-22 replacement was needed.
