    R-407C

    R32/R125/R134a

R-407C is a zeotropic HFC refrigerant blend (R-32/R-125/R-134a at 23/25/52%) designed as a direct retrofit replacement for R-22 in air conditioning and heat pump systems. With operating pressures and capacity similar to R-22, R-407C enables conversion of existing equipment with minimal modifications—typically only requiring oil change to POE and adjustment of expansion devices. The GWP of 1,774 positions R-407C between R-22 and R-410A environmentally. Temperature glide of approximately 7°C requires consideration for heat exchangers but is manageable in most AC applications. R-407C remains widely used for R-22 retrofit projects, particularly where equipment modification costs must be minimized.
